Privacy
Urling works without an account. If you make one, it keeps only what it needs to save your progress.
Without an account
Your progress stays in your browser or on your phone. It is not sent to Urling.
With an account
Urling stores:
- your email address, to sign you in;
- your learning progress: the words you have reviewed and when, the texts and lessons you have done, your experience points and the days you studied;
- the date your account was made, and scrambled records of your sign-in codes and signed-in devices.
Urling uses your email only to sign you in. If you continue with Google, Google tells Urling your email address and nothing else, and Urling cannot read or do anything in your Google account.
Who handles it
Cloudflare runs the website and the database, and Resend delivers the sign-in emails. If you use it, Google handles signing in with Google. As with any website, these services see your IP address when you connect. Urling has no ads and no analytics, and does not sell your data.
Keeping and deleting it
Your data is kept until you delete your account. To do that, open Urling, go to Account and choose Delete my account. Your email and saved progress are removed from the database straight away. Sign-in codes are deleted within a day whether or not you delete your account.
Children
Urling is not meant for children under 13. They should not make an account.
